home again!

We have not disappeared off the face of the earth, got stuck on a delayed train, or set up home in Croatia. Boring as it may seem in comparison, our silence can be accounted for by our return home. It doesn't seem at all boring to us however - they joys of a kitchen (including oven and toaster) are yet to wear thin. As for a washing machine, some different clothes and the chance of a bath...

It has been fab to catch up with family and to start getting in touch with friends again. But forgive us if you've not heard from us yet, we seem to be taking some time to adjust back into normal life and cope with the challenges of house dwelling such as front door key management. As ever, we also seem to have hit the ground running. I am starting work on Monday, having completed an application and successfully completed interviews all within the first week. Still, my pre-Christmas start should ease the way back to work a little - day one is the office party!

The Rainbow Warrior in harbour at Split

Submitted by Malc on Mon, 2006-11-20 17:43.

By chance we saw that the Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior was in Split harbour, when we arrived early in the morning. We went over to say hi. They were heading for Dubrovnik to make a presence at an international conference on the future of the Mediterranean tuna fishing industry.
