Hereford to BristolSubmitted by Ali on Mon, 2006-05-15 19:33.
Wahey - we've done 70 miles and have made it to Bristol to Leanda's house. After a very wet and quite cold ride we were even more grateful than ever for Leanda's warm welcome (and warm bath). Crossing the severn bridge was a highlight of the day, though the view was impaired somewhat by the day's general damp greyness. Malcolm: For me the highlight was a field of wonderfully mad looking cows with huge horns. Carpets of bluebells appearing beneath the forest trees. And when the drizzle stopped and the air grew warmer and we found a pub just at the right time that served a baked potato with beans and cheese to die for, just when we felt we could go no further. (Food is likely to feature prominently in this account, I'm afraid). We are both looking forward to the ends of our head colds! Hopefully in a few days time the forty miles we did today will seem like a breeze: as it was today it was definitely hard work towards the end (and to cap it all, wouldn't you know it, Leanda's house was at the top of a steep hill). I'll stop writing this page now- thanks Leanda for the loan of her computer!

God tur from Oslo, Norway! I'm so psyched that you guys are actually doing this! I'm a bit miffed I missed your departure, though. I tried calling Malcolm a couple of times, only to reach his answering machine thingie.
I really enjoy reading your blogs too as well also. I didn't know you guys were such jesters with words. Amazing.
Måtte dere få en fantastisk tur!

Belated Bon Voyage!
I told you this would happen! I missed you leaving. Wasn't sure exactly when you intended to start (see previous post!).
Have a good one.
