Darling we`re getting drilled

A short detour from the journey to fill you in on the latest insect-related news.

I almost don`t dare write it but it seems we`re now through with things tic related. I won`t share the gory details of my symptoms - they are between me Malc and the not very attractively wall-papered walls of the hotel Marmotte on the grim industial estate on the edge of Redon. Suffice to say I cannot recall ever feeling that unwell. If ever i was looking to test our relationship... still Malc came through in shining colours (one of the few symptoms i didnt have) and spends spare moments polishing his halo and quite deservedly so.
What remains is bug-paranoia. "whats that?" "is there a tic on me?"... I am also much amused as we enter the bug breeding grounds of the Loire to see Malc react to insects. Dont get me wrong i hate them too and can react out of all proportion on site or sound of one, but then it`s not a surprise that I should. Malc on the other hand is the man that cannot be wound up by anything, the person who sits calmly at a computer and thinks logically about what might be wrong long after the rest of us would have torn it from the desk and thrown it out of the window in rage. but the faint buzz of one small insect and the world knows about it!
still, insects or no it is great to be back on the road and back in the great outdoors. looking forward to exploring the Loire.

Good to see you are feeling better

Hi Ali, my mother had Lyme's disease once and she told me that you feel horrible for a week. I am very happy you dealt with it on time 'cause it can be bloody dangerous.

I am happy as well to see that you have fully recover and that you are enjoying your trip again (and not the grim Redon Hotel)

It is nice to see that both of you are having a very good time. I hope you'll have plenty more.

Continue writing about the thing you see and the thing you eat (the odd French specialties), it is a delight to read.

We'll (Bénédicte & I) be off for a week in Istanbul. I am sure we'll have a very good time there as well.

We'll let you know when we'll get back.

Salut.

Renaud.
